Can I try it before paying?

Yes. The compliance check and the preview are both free — you only pay once you are happy with the result.

How much does a photo cost?

A downloadable photo is $4.99. The site positions that as three to six times cheaper than a traditional photo studio.

Do I get printed photos?

No. You get a digital file to download and print yourself; a 4x6 inch sheet at a drug store or convenience store runs about $0.35.

Which documents are supported?

Over 20 formats across ten countries, including US passport, visa, green card, F1 OPT and DV Lottery, plus Canada, China, Mexico, Taiwan, Germany, India, France, Japan and Australia.

What if the photo gets rejected?

There is no retake limit, and the site guarantees a full refund if a purchased photo is not accepted.

Can I use an AI-generated portrait for my application?

No. The site has a separate AI portrait feature but warns on the page against using AI-generated photos for passport or visa applications.

Who is AiPassportPhoto for?

First-time passport applicants: Generate a US passport photo at home in seconds rather than booking a studio appointment.
Parents photographing a baby: Shoot the child at home and let the tool produce the standard passport crop from that photo.
Visa applicants: Produce a compliant visa photo for China, Canada, India or Germany without visiting a studio.
Applicants whose studio photo was rejected: Re-shoot on a phone and run the compliance check before submitting again.
